5.6.1 Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 – p 129
Note Avraamides v Colwill [2006] EWCA Civ 1532, where s1(3) of the Act was considered.
5.7.1 Minors – p 130
Litigation concerning contracts which are enforceable against minors is rare nowadays, but a recent example is Proform Sports Management Ltd v Proactive Sports Management Ltd and another [2006] All ER (D) 38 Nov. In this case, an agreement between an agency and a fifteen year old footballer was voidable, as the court did not consider it to be a contract for necessaries, nor a beneficial contract of service.
